3-bedroom Cotswold holiday home with private garden and fresh eggs from resident chickens
Accommodation
The vacation home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with under-floor heating throughout and a cosy fireplace in the living area. Each bedroom offers its own private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate bath, allowing groups of up to six guests to spread out comfortably. The living area is spacious and child-friendly, featuring a sliding door at the bottom of the stairs and a bespoke gate at the top.
Outdoor Spaces
The private garden has an adjoining field where sheep graze, and guests have reported waking up to deer in the garden. The seating area outside provides a place to relax and watch the local wildlife. Fresh eggs from the owners' chickens are offered as a welcome gift during stays.
Entertainment
A selection of board games and books is provided in the living area for guest use. The property's remote countryside location offers peaceful surroundings with minimal light pollution, making it suitable for stargazing. The large TV is available for indoor entertainment when desired.
Location
The Cotswold village of Aylworth places guests 8 km from Bourton on the Water Model Village, 11 km from Sudeley Castle, and 16 km from Broadway Tower. Birmingham Airport is 83 km away. A car is necessary for getting around, as public transport involves long waits for buses.
Guest Feedback
The property has received ratings of 10, 9, and 6 from recent groups and families. Guests appreciated the comfortable beds, the large bath and huge shower, and the welcome book showing nearby walks and distances to local pubs. Some noted that the Wi-Fi was intermittent and the kitchen knives could be sharper, but the overall setting and hospitality received high marks.
